Albany Oregon Bed and Breakfast

The charming city of Albany is about an hour south of Portland and north of Eugene. It sits on the banks of the Willamette and Calapooia Rivers, in the heart of Western Oregon's fertile Willamette Valley. The Willamette Valley is now perhaps best known for its wines; indeed, over 300 wines are produced here. The weather is so cool here that it is considered to be a marginal area for growing wine, and yet the climate is particularly well suited for the delicate, early-ripening Pinot noir grape. Plan a wine-tasting weekend getaway and decide which of the many Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs you like best.
The town of Albany has four historic districts. Each one honors a part of the city's origins, beginning when Oregon Fever broke out across the nation in the early 1840s. Historians note that Albany has the most varied collection of historic architecture in the state. Some of those historic buildings have been converted into lovely bed and breakfasts.
