Arch Cape is a peaceful small town surrounded by Oregon State Parks. Its coast is breathtakingly beautiful, and feels truly remote. No crowded beaches here. Just four miles south of the more populous Canon Beach and north of the quaint town of Manzanita, Arch Cape is a secluded retreat with convenient access to amenities and restaurants. Plan to stay in a NW bed and breakfast while enjoying the area during a weekend getaway.

There is a large network of hiking trails in Oswald West State Park, just south of the Cape, and Hug Point State Park to the north. Oswald West offers gentle hikes through mature forest that allow visitors to glimpse the Pacific Ocean and Short Sands Beach. The beach, nestled in a cove, is the perfect place to try out your surfboard or boogie board, or to lie on the sand and watch the more adventurous. Hug Point provides information on the early history of the Oregon Coast, when beach trails were traveled by Stage Coach. A section of the original stage coach trail can still be seen where it was carved into the point. Pack a picnic and head out to explore Haystack Rock, look for a small waterfall, and discover the two caves that are near the point.
