Billings Montana Bed and Breakfast
Home > By City > Billings Montana
Billings is in south central Montana in the fertile valley of the Yellowstone River, close to Yellowstone National Park. Sandstone cliffs known as rimrocks border Billings on the north and east, while rolling hills and high flat tablelands lead to the mountains in the south. It is not surprising that opportunities for outdoor recreation abound for walkers, climbers, bikers, skiers and fishermen.
Use Billings as a base, stay in a Montana bed and breakfast, and explore the whole region. History buffs will enjoy the fact that short drives will take you to Little Big Horn National Monument, Plenty Coups State Monument, and Pompeys Pillar, where Captain Clark carved his name during the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The nation's first national park, Yellowstone is just a few hours to the southwest of Billings, and the drive there is on one of the most scenic highways in the states. Closer to town, the Montana Blues Festival is an annual event in August. Also in August is the Montana Fair, "A Really Big Deal."
