Colstrip Montana, ___ east of the junction of interstates 90 and 94, the history of Colstrip is found in its name. It was established by Northern Pacific Railroad in the 1920s because the area was rich in coal. Over the years, it has remained an energy producing town, although the methods for producing that energy have varied.
